TECHGEEK is one of Reawaken Media's flagship brands and has recently turned one year old - and celebrated by moving to a brand new domain name, techgeek.com.au, and a brand new design - which will be replaced with another one sometime soon.
The site is unique from the others where many of its writers are volunteers or have agreements with Reawaken Media, and have now produced more than 700 blog posts, ranging from tutorials to news about the iPhone.
In 2006, it covered the Australian Election - using sources from AEC, ABC, Seven Network and Nine to produce coverage live on Twitter and election updates every half hour until 12am. With the help of Stewart Wilson, an editor over at TECHGEEK, the team produced more than enough election coverage to be successful.
It is also using 'Web 2.0' technologies to help promote and make it accessible to get to the content. Using Twitter and many other widget-making sites, TECHGEEK will be one of the few blogs that has a variety of widgets from Vista to Mac and the web.
But what's new with TECHGEEK? You will need to wait and see.
